Fundraise

Bressuire Gym

The group relies heavily on the fundraising activities of its members and invaluable contributions of time and money from its volunteers. Generous contributions also come from Aberdeen City Council and the Awards for All scheme.
Fundraising activities include raffles, bingo nights, bag-packing and sponsored walks and marathons. In light of the current financial climate the group is currently seeking sponsorship from local businesses.

About us

Aberdeen and District Disabled Multisports Coaching Group was established by Alistair Williamson in 1996. It's primary purpose was to involve all those with disabilities in sport.

Back in 1994 Alistair was involved in coaching bowling at the Westburn Centre helping people to recover and cope with illness and disability through the stimulus of sport. Determined to enhance the lives of those living with disabilities, Alistair put together the first group trip in 1998 to Stavanger in Norway to participate in the Nordic Games.
Encouraged by the huge success of the trip, the group has gone from strength to strength and now organises regular sporting trips for those living with disabilities, interested in enhancing their lives through sport.
Membership of the group is open to anyone with a disability and volunteers are encouraged to participate in all of the activities of the group.
